FeedBurner - The Make Money Online Experiment - 60 Days
Free Forex Mini Account - No Download - Start Trading NowIt cames the day of talk about FeedBurner. FeedBurner is one of the most famous RSS managers of the Web, with it you can announce and optimize your feeds. The advantage of announcing and optimizing your feeds is that through it you manage to get qualified visitors to your site. Whenever someone subscribe in your feed, the visitor manifests the interest in returning to visit your blog or site. Because of this, perhaps your feed be the biggest success indicator of your site.
My idea with that post, is to talk about some of the more interesting resources of Feedburner and how can contribute to announce and optimize the feed of your site.
So let´s go!
Subscribe to my Feed
Sign up:
The registration is free and simple, just copy the RSS link of your blog and paste it into the textbox at the initial page of Feedburner and click in the button “NEXT”. After registered, besides accompanying daily the number of subscribers of your feed, you can explore the remaining of the site and to try some interesting resources. My idea is to talk about some core resources of the site here.
Optimization:
Clicking at the folder “Optimize”, you will have for your disposition a series of tools that are going to contribute to improve your feed.
- “BrowserFriendly”: Activating this option, you facilitates your access Feed by the main browsers on the WEB and still offers to the visitor, several RSS readers options to visualize Feed.
- “SmartFeed”: This option guarantees total compatibility with several RSS readers, what it does is to convert yours Feeds to the Atom format or vice-versa.
- “FeedFlare”: This is one that I like more. That service allows you add of in a automatic way, links at the end of your posts that accomplish some action, that are called “Flares”. A Flare can send an e-mail with your post, send your post to “Social Bookmarking” site, like Delicious, Digg, Reedit and others. You can develop your own flare and make it available in Feedburner’s Site.
- “Headline Animator”: That service allows you create a animated Headline in your blog using your Feed. You can check that I place one in the lateral bar of my blog. Besides your blog, it allows you put posts of other blogs as well.
- “BuzzBoost”: It creates a script that generates an automatic HTML with the last posts of your blog. You can put the script in any site and by generating a simple HTML, it can be easily accessed at mobile phones.
- “E-mail Subscriptions”: It creates a widget so that you offer to the visitor that was registered to be warned when a new post is published in your blog. This is an interesting way of guarantee readers.
- “Ping Shot”: This is important because it can warn some sites that monitor your blog that your content was up-to-date to be indexed again. It comes with 5 services, but you can add more other 5.
According to Feedburner, you also can make money with your feed publishing some networks ads. Whereby I understood the option is enabled automatically when you reaches a certain number of registered readers, which I unfortunately do not yet know which is because I do not have the necessary number of readers required.
Friends, it was that. I hope that it has contributed a little for someone. Who has experienced more some interesting functionality and that I did not comment, please do a comment in this post.
See you tomorrow.
